This lesson was developed as part of the eMINTS program in Maine.
This lesson involves creating a home plan proposal to present to others. In following the specifications, students will learn about design, measurement and tool skills required to complete the project. They will also develop skills in working as a team and in persuasive presentation skills.
Learners
The focus is on middle school learners although it could very well be used at the high school level as well. It is anchored in middle school numeracy and literacy.
Learners should have basic computer and Internet skills prior to the lesson although they will be developing more advanced skills in process skills and with several new applications during the sessions.Standards
